Hybrid Congress

APGS is committed to delivering the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Congress in a hybrid format. This approach manages the ongoing risk associated with COVID-19, and maximises the opportunity for our delegates and industry partners to join us in a physical capacity in Kuala Lumpur in 2022. We plan to achieve this through the below initiatives:

  • All live programming is scheduled for GMT+8 (Malaysia time)
  • All live sessions are delivered in a fully hybrid format accessible to all local and virtual attendees. Each hybrid session features live Q&A
  • All virtual stream sessions are viewing-only for physical attendees, and delivered virtually with live Q&A online
  • All industry hybrid sessions are available on-demand to all registrants from 8 August 2022~
  • Two registration options for physical vs virtual attendance
  • GDPR compliant physical and online tracked attendance to industry program + viewership tracking of advertising
  • Hybrid exhibition experience in both physical and virtual by default. GDPR compliant data on exhibition interactions across both mediums
  • Peer<>peer + Peer<> industry networking for the congress’ virtual platform includes:
    • Live chat (text)
    • Pre-scheduled, or on-the-fly video calls
    • Searchable delegate list by country, state, institution or name
    • GDPR compliant interactions online
