Professor Dr Liza Sharmini Ahmad Tajudin is an ophthalmologist, and lecturer in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Her main research area is clinical and molecular research on glaucoma. She has more than 20 years’ experience in conducting clinical and molecular research and has completed 20 international, national and university research grants. She has published many manuscripts in various scientific journals. She is also the senior consultant ophthalmologist and head of service for glaucoma in Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. She is vice president of Malaysian Glaucoma Society and vice president of Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology. She is also a life member of Malaysia Society of Human Genetics (MSHG), fellow of Academy of Medicine Malaysia and College of Ophthalmologists (Malaysia). Internationally, she is the committee member of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology fellowship standing committee, council member of ASEAN Ophthalmology Society, Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society, Asia Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma Society, Global Eye Genetic Consortium and Asia Pacific Eye Genetic Society. She is the founding editor for the Malaysian Journal of Ophthalmology and editorial board member of Therapeutic Advances in Ophthalmology and The Open Ophthalmology Journal.
