Dr. Rubio obtained his medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He underwent his residency training at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences – Philippine General hospital (DOVS PGH). He completed glaucoma fellowships both at the DOVS PGH and at the Singapore National Eye Centre. He is a diplomate of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology, and a fellow of the Philippine Glaucoma Society. He currently serves as a consultant at The Medical City, Peregrine Eye and Laser Institute, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, and the St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City.
