Ultrasound Biomicroscopy in Glaucoma
Presentation Abstract (no more than 150 words):
Ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) is a useful diagnostic tool in the assessment and treatment of glaucoma. In a rapidly advancing digital era, its application remains relevant. This presentation aims to provide important scenarios/cases regarding UBM’s role in making accurate glaucoma diagnosis critical in deciding the appropriate glaucoma management option.

Biosketch:
Maria Cecilia D. Aquino, M.D., MMED (Ophthalmology) completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines. She was conferred Diplomate in Ophthalmology by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmology by the National University of Singapore. She pursued Glaucoma Subspecialty fellowship program at National University Hospital (NUH), Department of Ophthalmology, Singapore. She is now part of the Glaucoma Unit of NUH, National University Health System, Singapore actively involved in providing clinical care and doing research on lasers & glaucoma devices.
