Dr Cynthia Yu-Wai-Man is an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. She leads the Glaucoma and Therapeutics Lab at King’s College London. Her group is focused on translational research, personalised therapeutics, and glaucoma implants.
Dr Yu-Wai-Man has been awarded over £2.3 millions in research funding over the last 4 years. She has received several prestigious awards as PI, namely the Matt Wilson Scholarship (2023), Heatley Prize and Medal (2022), MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship (2020), King’s Prize Fellowship (2019), NIHR CRN Greenshoots funding (2019), MRC Confidence-in-Concept Grant (2016), ARVO International Travel Research Grant (2016), EUREKA Translational Medicine Fellowship (2015), NANOS Best Oral Presentation Prize (2013), INOS Best Research Poster Prize (2012), and RCOphth Ivor Levy Research Prize (2011).
