Dr Dewang Angmo did her MD (Ophthalmology) training from Dr RP Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Thereafter, she completed her Senior Residency and Senior Research Associateship in Glaucoma, Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery services. She then joined as faculty in AIIMS in 2016 and is currently working as Additional Professor.
Dr. Angmo has authored over 100 peer reviewed research papers in Ophthalmology and 40 papers in non-indexed journals. She has edited 2 text books in Glaucoma and a manual on National Task force for glaucoma and has over 50 chapters in various national and international textbooks. She has a keen interest in pediatric glaucoma including surgical management, syndromic evaluation, genetic evaluation and counselling.
She has received research awards and Young Investigator awards by various international and national societies like the World Glaucoma Congress (2015; HongKong, 2019 Australia), Asia ARVO (2015; Japan), and the Delhi Ophthalmological Society (2015,2020), APAO-LDP 2023. She has presented her original clinical and research work as scientific papers and has participated as faculty in several national and international conferences of her specialty.
