Dr. Md Iftekher Iqbal is one of the country’s young glaucoma specialists and is working as a consultant in the glaucoma department at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital, Bangladesh.
He is involved with mentoring in fellowship programs for cataract and glaucoma run by his institute.
He is expert in managing glaucoma and cataract-related complicated surgical cases, as well as with Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS), Glaucoma Drainage Devices (GDD), pediatric glaucoma surgeries, and different laser procedures (like LPI, SLT, and cyclophotocoagulation). Besides dealing with these, he is passionate about clinical research and ophthalmic photography.
As an Associate Board Member of the Young Glaucoma Experts (YGE) Program, he is also actively involved with the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS), representing Bangladesh.
