Dr. Maria Margarita Lat-Luna is a Clinical Associate Professor and Medical Specialist of the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital. She is the current President of the Philippine Glaucoma Society. She took her glaucoma fellowship at the Philippine General Hospital, the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the Singapore National Eye Center and National University Hospital. Dr. Luna has publications on ultrasound biomicroscopy, anti-fibrotics, medical therapy, fluorophotometry, laser surgery, pachymetry, and structure-function correlation. Her interests include biomechanics and genetics. She has also served as the President of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology in 2020-2021. She was the residency training officer of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the Philippine General Hospital prior to her appointment as the Deputy Director for Fiscal Services. She is also affiliated with the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, Capitol Medical Center and the FEU-NRMF Medical Center.
