Dr.Naris Kitnarong M.D., M.B.A. is the associate professor of glaucoma at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated his medical doctor (1993) and ophthalmology residency training (1999) from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Dr.Kitnarong had finished the glaucoma fellowship training from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, Tennessee, USA (2003), Bascom Palmer eye institute, Florida, USA (research fellow, 2004) and Heidelberg University, Germany (2005). He also received Master of Business Administration (MBA.) from Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand (2002). His works are majorly in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He is a pioneer in using antivascular endothelial growth factors (anti-VEGA) as adjunctive treatment for neovascular glaucoma. His interest area of researches is not only glaucoma treatment, but also the effect of cataract and premium IOL on glaucoma patients. He involves in residency and glaucoma fellowship training programs of the faculty. Dr.Kitnarong is a leader of mobile cataract unit of Siriraj hospital, operating cataract surgery on underprivileged patients in the remote area of Thailand 2-4 times a year as a part of Vision 20/20. Now, Dr.Kitnarong is also the deputy head of Department of ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
