PATRICIA M. KHU, MD, MS
A graduate of University of the Philippines College of Medicine, Dr Khu pursued her ophthalmology residency at Philippine General Hospital, glaucoma fellowship at Albany Medical Center Hospitals, clinical and research fellowship in ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at UP College of Medicine.
She is active in research ethics and is currently the Member-Secretary of UP Manila Research Ethics Board and Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
She was a founding member of Philippine Glaucoma Society and had served as its president in 2005-05. She was the former Editor-in-Chief of Philippine Journal of Ophthalmology for more than a decade for which she was given the Outstanding Service Award in 2019 by Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology.
She has authored & co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals. She was awarded the Dr Geminiano de Ocampo Outstanding Researcher in Ophthalmology in 2021.
