Paul is a glaucoma subspecialist ophthalmologist at Westmead and Sydney Eye Hospitals and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney.
He also holds leadership positions at Australian Vision Research, the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society, the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society, and the World Glaucoma Association.
Paul’s research interests include Glaucoma, Ophthalmic Epidemiology & Public Health, Cell Biology, Diagnostic Test & Screening Evaluation and Genetic Epidemiology. He has made over 290 scientific presentations at meetings throughout the world. He has over 210 peer-reviewed publications based on original research and has been honoured by a number of awards including the International Young Clinician-Scientist Award from the Association of International Glaucoma Societies and the Gillies Medal from the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society.
